Health plans continue to balance rising administrative complexity with the need to improve member outcomes and maintain strict regulatory compliance. In this environment, even small workflow gaps can translate into lost productivity, inconsistent documentation, and increased audit risk.

TruCare 25.2 is designed to help close those gaps. This release focuses on smarter automation, deeper configurability, and clearer visibility into activity across the platform. The result is a more predictable, efficient, and compliant care management experience for both administrative and clinical teams.

Making Member Data More Accurate and Actionable

Temporary member records often require updates as new information becomes available. In earlier versions, those edits could be limited, creating frustrating workarounds and duplicate records.

TruCare 25.2 introduces the ability to securely edit key fields on temporary member records when permissions are granted. Updates automatically reconcile across the system and remove unresolved duplicate references. This improves accuracy across screens such as Member Demographics, Search, Dashboards, and Summary views.

Strengthening Appeals and Grievance Compliance

As regulatory expectations around ODAG reporting and CMS audit readiness continue to expand, TruCare 25.2 aligns Administrative Appeals and Grievances with standardized data requirements and consistent workflows.

New fields support accurate documentation across internal and external appeals. Out-of-the-box values such as Appointed Representative, Durable Power of Attorney, Guardianship, Executorship, and other role types simplify reporting and reduce misclassification.

These enhancements help plans demonstrate compliance, avoid costly penalties, and maintain clear documentation throughout the appeals process.

Better Rules, Notes, and Administrative Control

This release also focuses on giving administrators more precision and speed in everyday setup tasks.

Key updates include:

  • Additional rule operations for more flexible automation
  • Streamlined copy and edit options on admin view screens
  • Enhanced assessment note functionality, including the ability to create, edit, or delete notes.

These improvements reduce manual overhead and make it easier to configure workflows that align with organizational policies.

Special Instructions Where They Matter Most

Critical member information should never be buried or overlooked. TruCare 25.2 introduces Special Instructions with clear acknowledgment workflows.

Administrators can configure messages that display when a member record is accessed. Users must acknowledge the instruction before continuing, ensuring visibility and accountability. Messages can be date-bound, permission-controlled, and easily updated. Urgent messages display first when present.

This feature helps teams surface safety details, communication preferences, and critical care guidance at the exact moment of need.

More Transparency Through APIs and User Guidance

To improve oversight, updated APIs now retrieve configuration changes associated with appeals and grievance requests. Health plans gain clearer visibility into which fields were configured at the time of submission.

In the client application, snackbar messages notify users when fields become hidden due to configuration changes. The message also alerts users that previously entered values will be lost if they continue. This simple cue prevents confusion and protects data integrity.

Autosave: A Safer Way to Work in Progress

Draft documentation often sits outside structured workflows, increasing the risk of lost work and compliance issues. Phase 1 of Autosave introduces a controlled way to manage in-progress notes without committing them to the final record.

Users gain clearer draft lifecycle controls, better separation between drafts and official documentation, and improved audit transparency. Additional capabilities will continue in upcoming minor releases.

More Accurate Birth Event Tracking

Birth event workflows have been improved to eliminate duplicate entries, support alternative parent scenarios, and provide better transparency around who created or modified events.

These enhancements prevent reporting errors, reduce rework, and ensure that family structures are captured accurately and respectfully.

Performance, Security, and Platform Upgrades

Beyond workflow and compliance enhancements, TruCare 25.2 delivers important infrastructure upgrades.

Highlights include:

  • More reliable data archival across multiple servers using a secure locking mechanism
  • Single sign-on configuration flexibility for FindHelp without forcing unnecessary case creation
  • An upgrade to Jasper Reports Server version 9.0 for improved stability and reporting capability

Together, these updates improve predictability, reduce operational friction, and support long-term scalability.
