The Digital Transactional Core connects to existing enterprise systems including claims, eligibility, EHR, and member systems of record.

Why This Role

Zyter|TruCare is investing in a clinician-led product and solutioning capability that brings real practitioner depth into the product team and into client-facing demos. This role is designed for a clinician (RN, BSN, MD, NP, or equivalent) with operating experience inside payer UM and CM workflows or provider care workflows. The person in this seat augments the Product team with domain depth that engineering and product management alone cannot bring.

The role has two equally important sides. Internally, this Director acts as a permanent practitioner voice on the product team, shaping how UM, CM, prior authorization, and care coordination workflows are designed, prioritized, and built. Externally, this Director is the clinician demoing the product to other clinicians. They earn credibility with payer medical directors, nurse reviewers, and care managers because they have done the work themselves and can speak to how they would actually use what they are showing.

The ideal candidate is a practicing or recently-practicing clinician who has crossed over into product, solutioning, or transformation work.

Core Responsibilities

Be the Clinician Voice Inside Product

• Sit on the Product team as the permanent clinical and operational practitioner voice. Partner with Product Management and Engineering on roadmap, prioritization, and workflow design.
• Translate payer and provider client signal into product requirements, use cases, acceptance criteria, and reusable workflow patterns.
• Pressure-test product designs against real clinical workflows. Flag where a proposed design will fail in the hands of a nurse reviewer, care manager, or medical director.
• Define guardrails, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and clinical safety patterns for AI-assisted features.

Own Clinician-Led Demos

• Lead persona-based demos for payer and provider audiences across UM, CM, prior authorization, care coordination, and population health scenarios.
• Adapt demos live to client lines of business, policies, and data constraints. Hold the room with clinical credibility, not slideware.
• Prepare demo environments, sandbox data, sample policies and rules, and outcome overlays such as cycle time, first-pass decision rate, and FTE hours saved.
• Build and maintain a library of reusable demo storylines by persona and line of business.

Lead Discovery and Workflow Design

• Run discovery sessions with payer and provider operations, clinical, and IT leaders. Document workflows, handoffs, SLAs, systems, and bottlenecks.
• Redesign current-state workflows into AI-enabled target states using Symphony agents and Praxis workflow patterns. Define routing, decisioning, exception handling, and escalation logic.

Frame Clinical and Operational Value

• Translate operational improvements into business outcomes with clear baselines and target metrics, including throughput, first-pass decision rate, rework reduction, appeals reduction, compliance posture, and care manager capacity.
• Build value pages, ROI overlays, and proof points anchored in clinical workflows.

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Partner closely with the Strategy and Transformation Director on payer pursuits This role owns the clinical credibility, persona-based demos, and product-roadmap feedback loop.
• Work with Implementation, AI Engineering, Clinical Services, and Pre-Sales to make sure demos reflect shipped capability and that pursuit promises are deliverable.
• Publish reusable workflows, demo narratives, and objection-handling guides. Enable Sales and Pre-Sales on clinical storylines.

RFP and POC Support

• Own the clinical and workflow sections of payer and provider proposals.
• Define acceptance criteria and success metrics for POCs and pilots. Support findings and executive readouts.

Qualifications

Required

• Active or recent clinical credential. Registered Nurse (RN, BSN) strongly preferred. MD, DO, NP, PA, or equivalent considered if combined with payer or provider operational experience.
• 6 to 10 years of total experience with hands-on exposure to Care Management, Utilization Management, Prior Authorization, Population Health, or payer or provider clinical operations.
• 2 plus years in product, solutioning, pre-sales, or transformation work where the candidate has been client-facing and built demos, workshops, or product requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to map current-state to target-state workflows and to design AI or automation-enabled journeys including routing, decisioning, and exception handling.
• Strong live demo presence. Comfortable holding a room of clinicians, executives, and IT in the same session.
• Fluency in workflow metrics including throughput, cycle time, first-pass decision rate, rework reduction, SLA and SLO, and CSAT or NPS.
• Comfortable operating in regulated B2B contexts including privacy, security, auditability, and compliance.

Strongly Preferred

• Hands-on experience with a payer or provider platform
• Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, EHR integration, claims and eligibility data, and payer interoperability patterns.
• Exposure to AI-assisted clinical or operational workflows.
• Bachelor's degree required. Clinical credentials and an advanced degree (MSN, MHA, MBA) a plus.
